Position: Head of Business Development
Reporting To: Director of the company
Collaborates with: Head Finance, Head of Operations, Top Management
Head of Business Development, is responsible for overseeing the implementation of business objectives among company`s sales, marketing and business development professionals. One`s duties include comparing current sales numbers to desired quotas, delegating sales and marketing tasks among team members and reporting to upper management to discuss their progress.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Executive Alignment
** Executive Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between strategic initiatives and the top management), providing data-backed recommendations and regular updates on market potential, risk analysis, and execution progress.
** Visionary Strategy Development: Research, analyze, and define new growth blueprints,
Opportunity Identification: Rigorously evaluate market trends, competitor activities, and internal capabilities to generate a robust pipeline of prioritized, high-value business development projects aligned with the company`s plan.
** Performance Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for all strategic initiatives and regularly report outcomes, adapting strategies based on executive feedback and real-world performance.
Team Leadership & Project Execution
** Small Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small, smart, cross-functional team focused on the analysis, planning, and initial execution of strategic projects, ensuring rapid delivery and high-quality output.
** Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Drive consensus and mobilize resources across disparate international functions, including Operations, Legal, Finance, and Marketing, to ensure seamless execution of new initiatives.
** Pilot Program Management: Design and oversee pilot programs for new ventures or operational improvements in select international markets, iterating quickly based on results before global rollout.
Qualification and Experience Required
** 5+ years of experience in Business Development or Corporate Strategy with a proven track record of successful execution in a national or international retail environment.
** Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to present complex strategies clearly and concisely to executive teams.
** Experience leading small teams or cross-functional groups to achieve significant strategic milestones.
** Strong understanding of corporate finance, P&L management, and advanced business case modeling.
** Cultural Sensitivity and Tolerance is one of the must to have
** Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required
** MBA or Master`s degree in a related business field
** Fluency in English and Russian is a must.
